In this episode of Coffee with Kelly, we examine accountability across the school safety ecosystem, from the responsibility adults have for addressing harmful behavior to the obligation schools have to protect staff, communicate known risks, and respond consistently when concerns arise.
We also return to one of the foundations of effective school safety: dedicated leadership that brings schools, law enforcement, fire, EMS, emergency management, and other community partners together before an emergency occurs. Plans, policies, and responsibilities only work when someone is prepared to own them. Effective school safety begins with clear accountability.
